If you are in need of grooming, herdsmanship equipment, or showing supplies for Extravaganza or Fair, please let me know, if I have it in Toms showbox you can use/ borrow it . Remember its up to you make arrangements for transportation to events way ahead of time.

DAIRY JUDGING IS CONTINUING! 
(This is what Morgynne and Kyndall participated in last year)

Keith Maxey: I wanted to let you know that I’ve received approval from CSU to go ahead with the Colorado 4-H Dairy Judging program.  It will be modified a little…the first two sessions will be virtual, via Zoom videoconference. After that we will have live animal workouts at dairy farms and then a state contest.  At this point I’m not sure about a senior team to a national level contest this fall as I’ve not heard whether those events will be held or not.
 
I don’t have the dairies all lined up yet, but here is what I anticipate the schedule to be:
 
                June 11 – Zoom video conference 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
                June 18 – Zoom video conference 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
                June 25 – Live animal workout, Carpio Dairy, 9:30 – 12:00 noon
                July 2 – Live animal workout, 9:30 – 12:00 noon
                July 9 – Live animal workout, 9:30 – 12:00 noon
                July 16 – Live animal workout, 9:30 – 12:00 noon
                July 23 – State Contest, 8:30 – 2:00 p.m.
 
There are some procedures that we will have to follow, including having youth and volunteers sign waivers prior to participating (in the face-to-face workouts).  I will explain all of that on the first Zoom meeting on June 11.
 
I’m excited to be able to offer the judging program and I hope you will encourage your members to participate.  I will be asking participants to RSVP their participation in the program. At that time, I will share the Zoom link with them.  Let me know if you have any questions.
